AYN RAND'S "THE FOUNTAINHEAD"

"There's the building that should have been yours. There are buildings going up all over the city which are great chances refused and given to incompetent fools. You're walking the streets while they're doing the work that you love but cannot obtain. This city is closed to you. It is I who have done it! Don't you want to know my motive?"

"No!"

"I'm fighting you and shall fight you in every way I can."

"You're free to do what you please!"

"Mr. Roark, we’re alone here. Why don't you tell me what you think of me in any words you wish."

"But I don't think of you!"

I KNOW PATRICK SWAYZE IS ALIVE, OK?

I've been in Ontario for three days and I leave tomorrow.

I visited my grandma yesterday and it warmed my heart to see a little bowl of Werther's Originals. Wedding photos of all of her sons placed around her own. She had one photo of herself at the age of six and it was rather shocking, the resemblance of her and I! I don't want to grow up. The way I see it: You are born and you are beautiful and then you get ugly and die. What a poor belief... Oh well. Before we visited we got her an Iced Cappuccino and I don't think she liked it much.

AN VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION WE SHOULD ALL BE ASKING OURSELVES

Who needs relationships when the most reliable, comforting one is with the confines of your bedroom?

THE BEGINNINGS OF AN INDEPTH LIST OF THINGS I KNOW WHEN I AM REMINDED OF THEM LATER IN LIFE I WILL FEEL INTENSE NOSTALIGIA

1. How the streetlight outside my house has flickered ever since I had moved here and will continue to do so, for I know it so.
2. How my father's snores will always resonate through the building he's in, but strangely never waking or depriving my mother and I of sleep.
3. How my dog will never fail to find the most inconvenient places to lie down; Behind feet, in front of the dishwasher, in doorways, around corners where I least expect her.
